- Olena was also a member of Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC), serving on the board of directors for the Santa Clara County branch. As a member of MTAC, she has prepared her students for the challenging California State Certificate of Merit Music Examinations, as well as for numerous Youth Orchestra auditions, recitals, competitions and other performances.

- As a teacher, Olena is patient and deeply committed to high standards and excellent quality in musical education. She has taught for over 12 years and has inspired many students to excellence. Some of her advanced students have gone on to study music professionally and most of her students successfully auditioned and were members of various Bay Area Youth and College Orchestras (including Stanford Symphony, Berkeley Symphony, El Camino Youth Orchestra and others).

- Olena Combines Suzuki and traditional European methods to teach students of all ages and abilities and especially enjoys teaching children. She loves seeing how music lessons shape their character, brings joy, and enhances their interest in music.
